2022 Round Up

Once again, we've enjoyed supporting our members to accomplish their triathlon goals and are delighted to celebrate and share their achievements in this round-up.

After a nervous start post-pandemic, confidence returned and our members soon got back into entering events once more. We had half ironman performances from 8 of our members and saw 5 more of our members take on the full ironman.

We had 2 of our members flying the age group flag for the in Bilbao, Spain - one for the half ironman distance and one in the cross triathlon event. 2 more of our members also competed for GB in the World Championships Sprint Distance in Montreal, Canada and another member in GB kit in the Sprint Distance in Munich, Germany.

There have been numerous endurance events where we've seen members take on and complete gruelling challenges. These have included

  • Manvers Dusk Til Dawn
  • Hell on the Humber
  • Equinox
  • The Peak District Ultra
  • Rat Race Across Scotland
  • The Yorkshire Trod
  • Scotland GB Ultra
  • Mallorca 312
  • Virtual London Marathon
  • Virtual Route 66 Challenge
  • Ride London

There are likely some more that we've not mentioned, but a huge well done to you all!!

As well as the 'big' events and the endurance events, we've been delighted to see many of our members taking on local triathlons and these have also meant some age-group winners from Doncaster Triathlon Club. Well done to not only the Age Group winners, but to all of those who have competed and completed these local events. Extra congratulations go to those who have dipped their toe in for the first time - we look forward to supporting you on your next challenges!

In addition to the achievements of our members, we're delighted to welcome 2 new coaches to our team. Harry and Bethan have both completed the BTF training and qualified as Level 1 coaches which sees our coaches and activators team expand further.

And finally....
We would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who contributes to the successful running of Doncaster Triathlon Club. There is a lot of work that goes on in the backround so, to the committee and the coaching & activators team, those who support with organisation of membership, cross-country events, team kit, social events and communications, thank you for your continued support.

As a club, working with existing members and welcoming many new members, we're now looking forward to the new season - 2023, we're coming to get you!!
